Mike Davidson – General Manager/Solar Consultant
Mike’s passion for the environment and energy independence led him to the solar energy industry, where he’s been helping home and business owners make their own power since 2006. As part of his experience consulting, designing and installing solar power systems, Mike’s received extensive training from a number of leading solar equipment manufacturing companies. He’s also performed installations as a volunteer and team leader with non-profit GRID Alternatives. Mike’s a licensed (CA # 959155) solar contractor and certified PV installer.
Ken Roberts – Director of Business Development/Solar Consultant
Ken is one of a small number of Solar Consultants working in San Diego with a NABCEP Technical Sales Certification for solar. Ken also has over 18 years of experience in technology sales, and a BS Electrical Engineering degree from San Diego State University, with a focus in power generation and distribution systems. Ken is a people person, who is patient and takes an educational approach when discussing PV solar systems with potential customers. His primary goal is to make the transition to renewable energy seamless for homeowners while helping them save money on their electric bills.
Matthew “Matty” Gillan – Project Manager
An Encinitas native, Matty loves surfing, snowboarding, golf and playing drums. While attending La Costa Canyon high school, he played both soccer and lacrosse. Matty was captain of his Sonoma State lacrosse team for 2 years, and was named Academic All American while earning his degree in Environmental Sciences. His experience installing solar during his senior year led him to San Diego County Solar following graduation.
