Encinitas Project

Project Description

This beautiful home in Encinitas Ranch was one of the first houses on the block to go solar. We could see the ocean during this system installation in 2013. The chimney’s shadow moves across the roof during the day, so the system production would have been compromised with a string inverter. So we used the first microinverter to offer a 25 year warranty, from the world’s top microinverter manufacturer. Because SDG&E electric rates have increased significantly since this system was installed, this homeowner is saving much more than is listed below.

  • System Size:  7.41 kW
  • Solar Panel:  LG 285W Neon
  • Inverter:  EnPhase M215
  • Est. Avg. Monthly Output:  884 kWh
  • Avg. Monthly Bill (before):  $194
  • Est. Average Bill (after):  $10
  • Est. Annual Savings:  $2,208
